Christine Cuny is an Associate Professor of Accounting at New York University's Stern School of Business.
Her research examines the political, economic, and competitive forces that shape the public disclosure decisions of US local governments and corporations. She also examines how disclosure affects trading costs in the municipal and corporate bond markets.
Prior to joining NYU Stern, she worked at Morgan Stanley as an equity research associate covering the property and casualty insurance industry and at PricewaterhouseCoopers as an auditor in the banking practice. She is a Certified Public Accountant.
She earned her B.S. in Analytical Finance and M.S. in Accounting from Wake Forest University, and her M.B.A. and Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
